Work, Wine and Wheels 2010 review — courtesy of WordPress

Happy 2011 everyone! Hope all had a nice holiday break.  The folks at WordPress have been busy — see below for a nicely done “good job in 2010″ email I received Sunday. (The image they chose below is the ABS unit in my 2001 BMW 530 – my biggest DIY money saver to date.)

I already knew this information via the Stats page (and some additional info as well via QuantCast), but I appreciate the recap email from the WordPress crew. With wordpress.com supporting hundreds of thousands of sites and receiving almost 39 million U.S. visitors per month, sending a customized email to each blog is a significant investment of time. Merry New Year to you WordPress, and thanks for a flexible, powerful and free platform! </intro>

The stats helper monkeys at WordPress.com mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here’s a high level summary of its overall blog health:

Where did they come from?

The top referring sites in 2010 were bimmerfest.com, forums.bimmerforums.com, m3forum.net, linkedin.com, and facebook.com.

A lot of visitors came searching, mostly for difference between saas and asp, do you feel lucky punk, bmw quality, saas vs asp, chris parente, and trends in government contracting.
